The six Power Rangers are the only spellcasters to use a specific set of ten magical words for their spells. Combinations are from two to four words, but unfortunately those words spoken do not often correspond to their proper buttons on the Morpher, from poor editing.
The words are nonsensical by themselves, but are derived from real words from the Latin, Greek, and Welsh languages. What follows is each syllable as listed on the Morpher toy, and its word of origin.
| # | Syllable | Origin | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | Galwit | Welsh | galw "call" |
| 2. | Mysto | Greek | mustes "secret" |
| 3. | Ranger | French | rangier "to arrange in a row" (military troop) |
| 4. | Motro | Latin | motor/moveo "move" |
| 5. | Prifior | Welsh | prifio "grow" |
| 6. | Unios | Latin | unus "one" |
| 7. | Du | Latin | duo "two" |
| 8. | Tryn | Latin | trinus "third" |
| 9. | Aerotan | Greek | aer "air" |
| 0. | Neramax | Welsh/Latin | W. nerth + L. maximus "power" + "greatest" |
The ten Light words are only used for the major spells involving things unique to the Power Rangers, such as their tools and Zords. All other spells are considered Neutral because of their lack of conformity and do not involve the Rangers directly.
